About Leticia Estrella, LMFT

I am a bilingual licensed marriage and family therapist and an AAMFT-approved clinical supervisor. I earned a Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University and bring over a decade of experience, supporting individuals, couples and families facing life challenges.

My clinical work focuses on life transitions, school and work-related stress, self-esteem concerns, anxiety and identity concerns. My approach is grounded in a social constructivist framework and primarily informed by Narrative, Collaborative, and Solution-Focused Therapies, with an emphasis on decolonial healing.

My hope is to practice with a deep respect for each person’s cultural background and unique story. I take a collaborative and respectful approach that centers the persons’ voice, values, and hopes for their life’s direction.

Born and raised in Veracruz, Mexico, I bring my lived experience as an immigrant and bilingual therapist to my work with monolingual and bilingual Spanish-speaking and Spanglish-speaking communities, as well as other linguistically diverse communities. It is both an honor and a privilege to serve these communities with compassion, respect and dignity.
