About Michelle Tep, ACSW
My name is Michelle Tep, and I have two years of experience in the clinical field. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, and my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino. I am bilingual and provide therapy in both English and Spanish.
I have experience working with children as young as five, as well as with adolescents and adults in psychiatric and community-based settings. I have worked in elementary schools providing daily check-ins and group therapy for students experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Supporting children through these critical developmental stages is especially meaningful to me, as it allows me to help them build confidence, resilience, and healthy coping skills that can support them throughout their lives.
I also have experience providing individual and couples therapy to clients from diverse backgrounds and across various life stages. My therapeutic approach is client-centered and collaborative, with a focus on increasing self-awareness, strengthening coping skills, and improving emotional regulation and communication. In couples therapy, I work with partners to enhance connection, navigate conflict, and develop healthier patterns of interaction.
I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, and grief. In my clinical work, I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and the Strengths Perspective. I tailor these approaches to each client’s unique needs while creating a supportive, culturally responsive, and nonjudgmental space. My goal is to help clients feel heard, empowered, and supported as they work toward healing, resilience, and meaningful personal growth.
