About Beatriz Morales, LMFT

I would like to introduce myself through the identities that have largely shaped how I interact with the world.
I intentionally make myself visible to you through my communities.
I am a daughter of immigrants. I am Zapoteca–an indigenous community in Oaxaca, México. I am a heritage Spanish speaker and Spanglish is my linguistic home. I am a lifelong resident of North County, San Diego. I am a part of a working-class family; and I belong to the queer and neurodivergent communities.

I approach therapy with values of dignity, curiosity, respect, interest, possibility, humor, and understanding. I believe in the power of witnessing, storytelling, language, and choice. My work as a therapist has been shaped not only by my formal postmodern training, but by a framework of decolonial practices, and by the stories and experiences that have been shared and co-created in therapeutic spaces.

I dedicate my life and my work to accompanying others. I have worked in community clinics, foster care, domestic violence, and sexual assault centers. My hope as a therapist is to walk alongside you as we explore the territory of your life, and together create desired movement towards a more hospitable life.
