Helena Wade, LCSW

Hello. I am an LCSW with over 22 years of experience. I specialize in supporting teens and their families with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, substance use, sexual abuse, special education/IEP, detainment, and grief/ loss. I do have experience working with adults with similar issues and military concerns. My approach to assisting clients in having a more successful life is a cognitive behavioral approach. CBT primarily focuses on how thoughts impact feelings, which in turn, affect behaviors. I am a native San Diegan and have knowledge of the resources that are available throughout the county. I plan to foster a healthy relationship and earn the client’s trust, allowing a safe place to support our work together.
