Genevieve Venegas, APCC

My name is Genevieve Venegas. I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. I have worked in a variety of settings in the mental health field for 4 years.

I have worked as a school-based counselor for ages from 3 years old to 18 years old, some including clients with developmental disabilities. I have been employed at a residential program for teenage girls and high-risk children in their natural family settings. In addition, my last position included working with adult clients in a Psych/Med clinical setting as a clinician providing both group and individual counseling.

I practice Cognitive behavioral therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused therapy mainly. I use Trauma based interventions. I have experience with cooccurring diagnosis including mental health and substance use issues. In addition, I have worked with individuals that struggle with LGBTQ challenges and family therapy.

My goal for all my clients is for them to accept the situations that they struggle with and empower them to find their own solutions to improve their mental health. I strive to support each client during their journey to obtain peace. I look forward to meeting with you.
