Alex Zella, APCC

Alex is an associate professional clinical counselor. She received her master’s degree at Alliant International University and her bachelor’s degree in psychology at San Diego State University.

She loves working with people and is committed to creating a safe, relaxed environment where clients can explore and work towards their goals and receive support. She has experience working with children and teens, primarily. Her current treatment specialties include anxiety, trauma, and managing life changes and adjustments. She emphasizes a collaborative, solution-focused approach to mental health, and she is also trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and involves mindfulness in much of her practice.

Alex moved to San Diego in 2016, and when she is not working, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking with her husky mix, golfing, and doing pilates!
