About Alexander Barron, AMFT

Hello, my name is Alexander Barron, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist committed to helping individuals, families, and couples navigate life’s challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. Before entering the mental health field, I served in the United States Marine Corps, completing two combat deployments that shaped my belief in resilience, faith, and the importance of supportive relationships.

I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University, where I completed a year-long clinical practicum working with individuals and families. I have also served a role as a primary therapist in a residential setting. I provided individual, family, and group therapy using CBT, EFT, DBT, and systemic approaches. I am trained in crisis intervention, treatment planning, and working with diverse family systems.

I have experience supporting clients with trauma histories, depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, family conflict, and emotional dysregulation. My roles as a Care Coordinator and Utilization Review Specialist strengthened my ability to provide structure, advocacy, and clear communication. I am also a published author in Family Therapy Magazine, where I explored relationship patterns in young adults from divorced households.

I work with adolescents, adults, families, and couples, and I especially enjoy supporting families navigating complex dynamics or transitions. As a clinician with a strong Christian faith background, I welcome clients who wish to integrate their spirituality into therapy. My goal is always to create a safe and grounded space where clients feel understood and encouraged to grow.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, staying active, and continuing to serve my community in ways that reflect my values of faith, service, and connection.
