About Alexis Cooke, LMFT

You don’t need to have the perfect words or a clear plan to begin therapy, just a willingness to show up. My name is Alexis, and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My goal is to meet you wherever you are emotionally and work together to help you move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding.

I’ve spent the past 5 years working with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and life stages from young children to older adults, with a particular passion for supporting adolescents, young adults, and parents. I’ve worked extensively with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, parent-child conflict, behavioral issues, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders, as well as those facing co-occurring issues such as addiction and eating disorders.

My therapeutic approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy, tailored to fit your unique needs and goals. At the heart of my work is a deep belief that therapy is a team effort, where your voice and values guide the process.

Personally, I’m passionate about continuing education and am always seeking new ways to grow as a therapist and person. Whether it’s diving into a new clinical training, learning a creative skill, or exploring a new experience, I believe that staying open and curious helps me show up not just as a therapist, but as a real person who understands real-life challenges – professional, grounded, and genuinely present for the people I work with.
