About Claire Foster, LMFT
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and dedicated to helping adults overcome anxiety and mild to moderate levels of depression. With over 24 years of licensed experience in the field, I have successfully guided numerous individuals towards a healthier and more fulfilling life.
I believe in the power of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy “CBT”, a therapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. Anxiety can manifest in various ways, such as generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, or panic disorder. I help clients understand the underlying causes of their anxiety and develop effective coping strategies. Through CBT, clients learn to challenge irrational thoughts, manage stress, and gradually face their fears, leading to increased confidence and a greater sense of control. Low self-esteem can also significantly impact one’s overall well-being and quality of life and I offer a non-judgmental space for clients to explore the root causes of their low self-esteem and develop healthier self-perceptions. Through CBT, clients learn to challenge negative self-talk, build self-compassion, and cultivate a positive self-image. I believe in the importance of building a strong therapeutic alliance and tailor my interventions to meet each client’s unique needs. I stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in CBT with attendance at conferences and workshops to enhance my skills and ensure that my clients receive the most effective and evidence-based treatment.
