About Claudia Oreegal, LCSW

My name is Claudia Oreegal. I am a Mexican American therapist born and raised in Wisconsin and during my four years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps, I was relocated to California in 2000 and have made it home since. I have over 5 years of experience working with a variety of clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. I have experience providing services in multiple treatment settings, from residential treatment, to outpatient, and telehealth services. My experience has led me to be knowledgeable in individual therapy, addiction, crisis management, and clinical case management. I have had the pleasure of working with clients who have struggled with symptoms of trauma, grief and loss, anger management, depression, anxiety, substance use, bipolar, schizophrenia, Military (active-duty, Veterans, and their family members), LatinX issues, LGBTQIA+ issues, homelessness, and incarceration. I love to hear people’s stories and really find out who a person truly is, in a nonjudgmental manner, to have a better understanding of all the parts that make a person who they are and supporting them in their journey, helping them overcome struggles.

I completed my bachelors at California State University San Marcos in Business Administration – Management Information Systems, with a minor in Ethnic Studies. I received my Master of Social Work from California State University San Marcos. I received two associate degrees, one from MiraCosta College in Business Administration and the other at Palomar College in Alcohol and Other Drug Studies.
