About Margaret Brock-Kaplan, ACSW

Hi, I’m Margaret! I’m an Associate Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to children (ages 7+ in person, 12+ via telehealth), teens, adults, couples, and families. I offer a warm, collaborative space where clients can explore challenges, deepen self-understanding, and work toward meaningful change.

My clinical approach is strengths-based, compassionate, and rooted in curiosity and a strong belief in each person’s resilience. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), mindfulness, and art-based interventions. I am certified in CBT through PESI (2025) and committed to ongoing growth through consultation and training. I strive to provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed care.

I have several years of experience supporting children and adolescents, particularly Black and Latinx youth and emerging adults in Los Angeles, as they navigate anxiety, depression, identity development, gender dysphoria, self-harm, school-related stress, family dynamics, experiences related to faith and spirituality, and systemic barriers. I also have experience working with clients with learning differences including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Disturbance, and Specific Learning Disabilities. My areas of interest include identity development, relationship dynamics, family systems, anxiety, and life transitions.

I welcome all presenting concerns and tailor my approach to support each client’s unique goals and needs. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and committed to working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds with cultural humility and respect.

Outside of the therapy room, I love reading, being outdoors, and spending time with my loved ones. I bring my full self to this work and feel honored to walk alongside clients as they heal and grow.
