About Neel Sawhney, ASW

My name is Neel Kanth Sawhney, an associate clinical social worker (ASW) at Fusion Care Group. I am an Indian-American (Desi), English speaking therapist with 3+ years of experience working with people on a range of issues. My past work has included working with folks who identify with the disability community, LGBTQQIA+ community, children (8+), adolescents/teens, young adults/transition age youth, and adults. I am based in trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and employ a very open, supportive approach; ranging from exploring identity, depression and anxiety, mood disorders, anger management, grief, time management, mindfulness and meditation, among others. We live in a progressively complex world, with many rules and expectations that may make it difficult for us to look inward, reconnect with our source being, and experience the healing we feel we need to continue moving forward. Whether it is reconnecting with the inner-self, finding ways to get up in the morning, relocating lost motivation, dealing with hopelessness, regaining your control and power, healing from trauma, or dealing with difficult or intrusive thoughts, I believe freedom is always possible no matter how distant it may seem. I apply an unconditionally supportive and collaborative approach to always meet you where you are and support you in growth and healing that is authentic for you.

“So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.” – Christopher Reeve
