About Noemi De La Torre, AMFT
Hello, my name is Noemi. I am a Mexican-American Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and a U.S. Navy veteran. My journey to becoming a therapist began through my service experience, where I learned the importance of empathy, structure, and resilience. These lessons influence how I support my clients every day.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from National University and my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Marital and Family Therapy at Loma Linda University. My clinical background includes community mental health, where I worked closely with children, adolescents, and families navigating complex emotional and relational challenges.
I specialize in anxiety, depression, PTSD, parent-child relationships, acculturation stress, and intergenerational trauma. I also have experience supporting neurodivergent individuals and families. My therapeutic approach integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can strengthen their relationships, understand their emotions, and reconnect with themselves and others.
As a bilingual therapist, I value the intersection of culture, family, and healing. I am passionate about working with the BIPOC and veteran communities, as well as couples and families seeking connection and growth.
Outside of therapy, I am a yoga sculpt instructor and enjoy strength training, which helps me balance mind and body. Healing comes from both awareness and action, and I work with my clients to build lasting change from the inside out.
