About Rebeka Davidson, LMFT

Hi! My name is Rebeka Davidson, and I am a licensed therapist. I received my training in community mental health, private practice, and partial hospitalization settings, so I have experience working with a diverse range of people. I’m experienced as a warm, affirming, and present therapist. I have a deep respect for those who seek to heal and better their lives, and I believe in empowering my clients to reconnect with their personal power and wisdom that often gets buried by trauma and neglect. I believe that everyone has a natural ability to heal, and they can find this with guidance and support in therapy.

My passion lies in working with those with complex PTSD, attachment, and developmental trauma. I have experience doing this mainly using trauma-focused approaches, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and somatic therapies. I use ACT and DBT to complement the deeper work we do and to balance acceptance and change in the present. I am also formally trained in CBT and am experienced with using solution-focused and motivational interviewing strategies with clients who are experiencing ambivalence about making changes. Wherever you are on your journey, I will meet you there and help guide you towards living a more connected and fulfilled life.

I also have specialized training and experience working with eating disorders. I have worked both in private practice and treatment settings, and have worked closely with those in the recovery process for two years. Regardless of your behaviors or level of motivation, you deserve to be listened to and respected. I understand how difficult and scary it can feel to make changes in recovery, and I’m passionate about holding space and compassion for those struggling with the full spectrum of eating disorder behaviors.
