About Zyril Green, LMFT

Hi there! My name is Zyril Green, but feel free to simply call me, Zy. I’m a Filipino-American therapist with over 10 years of experience working with children and families. I started out as a behavior therapist working with children with developmental delays and moved into working in Children’s outpatient care upon completion of my Master of Science degree in Counseling from California State University – Fullerton. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience working with children, adolescents and families with challenges related to depression, anxiety, non-suicidal self-harm and trauma. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I work from a person-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative orientation to help support you in improving your daily functioning and relationships with others. I work with identifying and building off your strengths to address challenges related low self-esteem, communication issues, self-acceptance, unhealthy coping skills, and interpersonal relational issues. I have a passion for working with populations from diverse cultural backgrounds, as well as LGBTQIA+ and military families. I am open to working with individuals, ages 18+, with challenges related to anxiety, depression, relational problems, and a history of childhood trauma.

I dreamed about becoming a therapist since I was 13 years old and participated in a peer mentorship and conflict resolution group at school. This passion is driven by my relentless urge to learn and understand a person’s individual history and experiences. I’m honored to play a role in your personal growth and journey toward healing and recovery.
